There are parts to getting drunk.

First, there is a lack of inhibition. You will get truth here if they are truthful or boasting and lies if they are agressive.

Second, you will get sedation and anestesia. This is where you can get some real truth.

Third, you will get to see them throw-up and pass-out. This is the real truth.

If they would drink this much on a regular basis, they are not stable. Look for a guy who won't do this.

If you would stick around and watch this on a regular basis, you are not stable. Look for a guy who will hold your hair back while you puke.

Truth. Look for a guy who doesn't drink too much.

Lot of the postings are basically saying alcohol "makes the guy this or that way when drunk"

Inhiberation is not 'magic' like a lot of people think. It doesn't "MAKE" you one thing or another.

Studies have repeatedly shown that people use alcohol as a way to "Act out" or "Act out as far as the group will allow"
A person's individual behavior while drunk is largely dictated by how they percieve the groups tolerance towards acting out.

Subjects given Non-Alcoholic beverages act much the same way when given actual alcohol.

So to answer your question. -- NO, guys, in general, OR on average, are not any MORE or LESS honest when intoxicated. Just like they are not any MORE or LESS 'horny' when intoxicated. -- It's merely a combination of how much they THINK the group will allow them to get away with AND their own, personal, sense of ethics.

Besides, Why would you believe anything someone would say while drunk? They are obviously getting drunk to have an excuse for actions they would not normally do. AND they could easily go back on their word later on, saying "NO baby.. I was just DRUNK, and that's why I said that"

I think it depends on the person, but from myself, and my experiences with drunk people they do usually tend to speak more truthful when drunk because they arent thinking of the results that them speaking without thinking will lead to. Its like you dont feel the need to hold back, or lie when your drunk so you just end up spitting out whatever thoughts pass through your mind. Thats the best I can explain it...

First, let's forget about guys vs gals.

When people drink, their true personalities emerge because many of their normal day inhibitions are removed. They forget what their mothers taught them and become whatever they "really" are.

So, are guys more truthful when they are drunk? They probably will talk more, and they probably will tell the truth more, primarily because they won't know what is "okay" to say and what isn't. I don't call that being "truthful", but it will reveal what they are thinking.

Not necessarily truthful but a drunk person will sometimes say things he would't say when he's sober.
I confessed about cheating on my girlfriend a while back when I was drunk, I wanted to forget about it but it just came out when I was thinking right i guess..
so the answer is sometimes
hope I helped

When I'm drunk, I'm far more loose in my actions and sometimes with my words, but the little voice in my head is still there egging me on to not reveal too much. I wouldn't say that we're 100% honest when we're drunk, but it's a fairly high percentage.

To an extent yes. When we're drunk we usually either one dont think about what we say before we say it, or we just dont care and say whats on our mind. But keep in mind people do act ,say, and feel differnently when drunk. And often do say things way out of contex or even regret saying afterwards. Hope this helps.
