Yes! Get a different lawyer! No lawyer should be putting his clients in jeopardy by suggesting they break the law. It sounds to me like he wants to take your money, but doesn't want to do the work that he was hired for. This is a big deal, obviously your whole life hangs by this thread, so I would suggest getting a second opinion, you would do so if your doctor told you you wouldn't live without having a very dangerous surgery wouldn't you?
Danny B--- Way to go captain obvious, like she didn't say through her whole thread there that she wasn't here legally.

Non-permanent resident aliens (undocumented, nonimmigrants, etc.): can request cancellation of removal.
In order for an alien to request this type of cancellation of removal, an alien must demonstrate:
(1) he has been physically present in the United States for ten (10) years preceding the date of the request;
(2) he has been a person of good moral character during those ten (10) years (e.g., no criminal/immigration record);
(3) he has not been convicted of an offense as described under §§ 212(a)(2) [controlled substance violations, crimes involving moral turpitude], 237(a)(2) [deportable criminal offenses], 237(a)(3) [documentary fraud];
(4) that removal would result in exceptional and extremely unusual hardship to the alien's spouse, parent, or child who is a citizen of the United States or a lawful permanent resident.
Cancellation, a granted application will have the effect of allowing an undocumented alien or nonimmigrant to become a permanent resident of the United States.
The process to file an application for cancellation of removal is commenced by requesting ICE to served the applicant with a Notice to Appear (NTA) and to transfer his or her case to the immigration court. The application for cancellation of removal is only filed with the immigration court.

You won't get better advice on Yahoo than what your lawyers have told you. Just because you left when you were a baby doesn't mean you can't go back. At least you could get a driver's license and have a life if you did. Having a US education and being bi-lingual (hopefully) will give you an advantage in your country.

It's hard to advise based on the info provided. Are you older than 21? What is the status of your parents? For example, if one of your parents becomes a US citizen, you can apply for a green card.

Oh poor baby!
I know lots of legal citizens who would love to go to college but can not afford to because an illegal has taken their job.
Why don't you ask your country of origin for help after all you are a citizen there?
And also ask them to pay back the USA taxpayer who has supported your illegal butt all these years!

marriage is the only way right now.if one of your parents have a green card or citizenship they can apply for if your not married.finish school before you do anything.that is most important.hope they change the laws before you finish,though doubtful that will happen.
