There is no purgatory, it is a place the catholics believe you go until you earn your way into heaven. But if you would read your Bible you would read where it says "It is better to be absent from the body and BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD, than to be PRESENT IN THE BODY AND ABSENT FROM THE LORD" It's in the Bible but no where have I read you go to purgatory. I'm not downing anyone's religion (I have attended a catholic church many times and learned a lot) but I also read the Bible and as far as I am concerned, that verse could not be any plainer.

there is no purgatory, this teaching is in the apocryphal books in the catholic bible, even the catholich church has renounced purgatory, and those books have never been accepted by protestants or the jews that wrote the scriptures. CHRISTS death on the cross paid for sin in full , either your saved or your not

think of indulgences, a planary indulgence is gained by half an hour by Adoration of Blessed Sacrament and purgatory is a place to cleanse us of our temporal sin. there is only progress made in purgatory by our prayers for the dead.

Purgatory is not found in the Bible. It isn't even in the apocryphal books. It is an invention of the Catholic Church.

Purgatory doesn't exist. It was made up by the Catholic Church in order to get money (by selling indulgences to people who were scared for their dead relatives) and to try win more converts by making it seem like you have less of a chance of going to hell.
