I though I heard there was something antisementic, but I don't know. Are there negatives to it, besides not knowing what is being said?

There is NO negatives...
From what I've heard, there is a prayer that calls for the conversion of Jews and none Chrstians. I see how that might be "offensive" to none Christians but as Christians we are meant to Pray for the none believers because we have seen the Light.
I personally love the Latin language, very ancient. And the Gregorian chants calms you down.

Here is a video I made, "Credo"

the latin catholic mass has been around forever, it was changed when vatican 2 started 1964 -1965. after that it became the modern catholic church. i belong to a traditional latin mass church. yes it's hard to understand but we have english printed right along side it so we can follow the mass. i was in the modern church after the change, and found this traditional church. it brings back so many memories when i was a kid.. we do not follow the pope, he's way too liberal. i would never go back to the new mass. yes we wear long skirts, arms must be covered, and we wear veils. It's a holy church, very solemn, once there you know and feel that you are in the house of GOD

I've never heard of anything anti-Semitic in the Roman Catholic Mass, in Latin or in English. That would be hypocrisy, because Jesus was Jewish. How could we claim to worship him as part of the Trinity if we were bigoted about his faith?

Re a prayer for the Jews and non-Christians to convert to Catholicism--Have I permission to pray this out loud, the next time someone asks me if I've been saved and tries to hand me Fundamentalist literature?

There are no negatives : "the mass of all time all ages" as decreed by Pope St Pius V.

It was designed articulately to center God not man and his interpretations and comforts !

Objective not Subjective that is the focus of the tridentine mass.

Throughout the bible God commands something and man tries to negotiate on His terms,God punishes them until His terms are accepted !!! You only have to look at the pride of the jews(who want things on their terms)to give a clear indication of what happens until they show humility and submit.

I think the Latin mass refers to the conversion of Jews. That is one of the main arguments against reinstating the Latin Mass.

Looooooong. It's stand up, sit down, fight fight fight.
*And* you don't know what's being said. And, there's way too much incense. It's like a college dorm room in there.

Its a blasphemy as the mass, in any language, sacrifices the son of God anew everytime it is said.
Christ resides once and for all on the throne of grace for all humanity to come to him,he cannot be called down to reside in wafers and wine?!
Read Hebrews and Romans to make your own mind up and look up for yourself what the catholic catechism teaches.
