I do not see religion as a joke! I know many many people who believe in God. I see very few people who do not believe in God! It is only here in this site that some very childish people see belief in God as a joke.

Its silly not to!! The Bible is being fulfilled everyday. Israel is now the center of the world, why, why is a country the size of Rhode Island the place the whole world wants, there is a reason, There wasn't even an Israel until 1948. Before that there was no Israel for 2500 years, think about, when Jesus was on earth and there is Jewish historians who do not believe in Jesus as God who recorded that Jesus was on earth at the time the Bible says He was. There is more evidence today of Jesus then there has ever been. Out in California they have the dead sea scroll museum. The best in the world, they have the old manuscript in the world of the ten commandments written thousands of years ago just like we have today in the King James Bible. People make take the Bible as a Joke, but the consequences will be bad, the Bibles says Jesus is the only way to Heaven. I encourage you to read your Bible and start going to church, the Rapture of the Chruch is at hand, if you are left behind, the only way to get to heaven then will be to die a martyrs death, don't wait that long, listen to your heart and soul, our instincts tell us that Jesus is real, don't listen to satans lies, Jesus said satan was a liar and the father of it, This Christmas remember that Jesus is the reason for the season, Merry Christmas, and God Bless!!!

First point, do you really care what other people think? I certainly don't make a habit of following others. I'm sure there are people who make a joke about Christianity, as well as many other aspects of life. In many cases these people have a very shallow Root system and don't live a very fulfilling life. At some point in your life (sooner I hope) your inner self will begin to question what life really is about. I believe this thought comes to you quite unexpectedly and you may wonder why it has surfaced. Regardless, when you start doing some soul searching and more clearly begin to observe people and situations around you, it is natural to think there has to be more than just what you have been doing or acquiring most of your life. If you sincerely search you will begin to find an inner peace and desire to be a better person. Make no mistake, when this truly happens you have started the search for Christ. No Holy - Roller stuff. Just a true belief that there is much more to our existence then "Feeling good" and "Buying Stuff".

Well, yes, to the world...it is silly and stupid not to mention delusional and moronic and foolish, etc etc. etc. to believe in God and Jesus.
The world thinks that Jesus and God and Christians and the Bible and such like are jokes and bogus and fairy tales for adults.
They are blind and deceived and deceitful.
Jesus loved us all so much that even though we're such wicked sinners, He died for us. He didn't wait until we became righteous (which is impossible), but died even while we were yet sinners.
The world HATES the good news. They don't want to hear Jesus died for their sins and rose again cause well they don't want to hear that they are WICKED and that offends them.
They refuse to humble themselves and repent and turn to Jesus from sin.
Jesus said that whoever humbles himself will be exalted BUT whoever exalts himself will be abased.
And a great humiliation will they feel if they don't repent.
So yes...society thinks it is a joke...but they won't be laughing in the end if they keep it up.
God's gonna get the last laugh.

No. People are entitled to their own beliefs and no one should be made to feel silly or stupid because of them.
I've noticed the trend also. It's a little sad that in a society that has been praised for it's supporting stance on free speech, people are increasingly being criticized for embracing their chosen way-of-life---whether Christianity, Judaism or Islam.

It has nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with a personal relationship. Why would it seem stupid or silly to you to believe in Jesus= He is the one that gives us life, and forgiveness from sin, and because of Jesus we can know the goodness of God, that is not silly to me, it is life itself.

What would be silly or stupid is to let someone else interfere with what you believe in. I don't believe in God or Jesus but if you do and it has brought you some kind of peace and joy to your life then good for you. There's nothing funny about that.

I think religion itself has some major flaws. That is the issue to me anyways. I am not even Christian but there is no way in the world I am going to renounce Christ, God, etc after He has been there for me. In my experience you don't need religion whatsoever to access God or a divine master like Jesus.
