The Bible has a lot to say about following mans traditions.
In Acts5:39 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
1Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God
1Co 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
1 Peter 1:18-19, "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:"
Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Mark 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

"Teaching as doctrine the commandments of men" makes our worship "vain", or useless in God's eyes! (Matthew 15:9)
Jesus has "all authority" and the apostles were specifically told to teach he things He had commanded. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Paul declared "the whole council of God" (Acts 20:27). The "traditions" that he spoke of in 2 Thes. 2:15 are those that came from the inspired word, from the truth (verse 13), from the Gospel (verse 14). These were traditions that were based from GOD's Word, not the traditions of men!
"We ought to obey God rather than men"! (Acts 5:29)

Father God inspired St. Paul to say the following:
2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Paul was a man, so either he was wrong about following traditions and the entire Bible is then suspect, or else he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the truth.
Your call.
Edit:
So it's only OK to follow traditions when you or your denomination say it is, right? You accuse us Catholics of twisting the Bible to mean what we want it to, but then you turn around and ignore the part that doesn't agree with you. Or worse still, try to pretend that it doesn't really mean what it says.
Don't know what your church calls that kind of thinking, but mine calls it "Hypocrisy."

i attempt to seek for God first, and maximum advantageous; God's awareness is definitely guy. in case you persist with the traditions of guy, you will consistently be lost, because of the fact you will no longer understand what's fake from truths..... because of the fact of this i've got taken to finding a church homestead a severe, tedious activity. i've got chanced on many that uphold traditions, and few preaching the gospel of Christ, discouraging. i understand that's no longer to be real to all church homes, even though it has exchange right into a journey for me. If i did no longer carry the certainty of God in my coronary heart, i might have joined a church that "seems" good a together as in the past.... As Jesus mentioned, speaking to the Pharisees... Mark 7:8 "For putting off the commandment of God, you carry the custom of adult men..."

Ephesians 4:14 - That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and from, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the slieght of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.
2 Peter 2:1-2 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable eresies, even denying the Lord that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 - And many shall follow their pernicious ways: by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
