Does anyone remember this afternoon kids' show with a bunch of kids in a clubhouse with a perky brunette woman (named Rosie) in a cool blue jean denim (or regular blue) jumper dress with buttons running down in front, bright purple violet tights, and tan or beige combat stretch boots and her companion friend was a light lilac alligator puppet named Gilbert or something who liked alligator seeds, and they had a sequence of kids' shows within this Cubhouse show:

Johnson and Friends (about a pink stuffed elephant toy and his toy friends that came to life when their owner left the room)

Rimba's Island (a fun show with colorful two-legged animals that lived on a tropical island)

Jim Henson's Animal Show (This puppet show about animals)

Mumfie (Animated cartoon about another elephant named Mumfie)

Budgie The Little Helicopter (About a lively, talking helicopter named Budgie-similar to the show Jay Jay the Jet Plane)

DAMN, I loved coming home and watching this stuff in 2nd grade...^_^

Also, in the second season of Fox Cubhouse there was Sunny, an African-American older woman who wore Afrocentric clothing, who replaced Rosie and inside her house were no children, but practically had the same kids shows with some additions and when the show came on, it had a computer animated blue and red house with letters jumping out and spelling out "The Fox Cubhouse".

Wow...Also thanks for the list of shows and their creators. I had forgotten somewhere down the line who created Budgie; I think I saw Animal Show on TLC a few years later after Cubhouse was gone ('99 I think) and I musta also forgot Britt Allcroft created Mumfie, thanks for that reminder.

This actually aired twice a day (a morning block starting at 11 AM [which also included the flop remake of "Captain Kangaroo" and the first US airings of "The Wiggles"] and the 2 pm block you mentioned) at some point.

In the last few months this was on,the live-action clubhouse stuff was dumped.

BTW: Budgie the Little Helicopter was created by Sarah Ferguson (the one-time Princess Sarah);Jim Henson's Animal Show was originally on TLC's Ready Set Learn block and Mumfie aired briefly on PBS (the makers of Thomas the Tank Engine were behind this cartoon).
