I usually go before I board the aeroplane. There are spacious toilets near the departures area.

All my flights so far have been morning or at the latest early afternoon. Mainly because I don't mind getting up early so that I can get to where I'm going earlier and get settled in.
This Christmas I will be having one flight early morning, 6am for an 11 hour flight.... but that way I can get there and at least spend some time settling in before bedtime and spend time visiting. But coming back will be my first night flight and will actually be in the air at midnight New Years eve, no doubt a few times lol as I pass thru various time zones. I'm leaving on the night flight so that I can spend as much time with family on my last day and leave late. Will be interesting to find out if the pilot does a countdown and/or multiple countdowns on our way across the country lol

If I´m arriving to a city I don´t know and I´m arriving alone, I definitely prefer to travel in the morning, and arrive in the morning. It´s dangerous to arrive a night to an unknown place being a woman alone.
