God has us here so that we can come to know Jesus= without life we would never have the chance to know the creator, the Lord of this universe. Yes there is pain, sin and confusion, but there is love - and the greatest love is the sacrifice that Jesus paid. There are many things in my life that I could say were not fun, including a chronic pain disease, however I would never change it, because it has drawn me to my Savior, He makes this life worth living, because I know that one day I will be pain free for eternity. Trust God and He will make your life complete, even if things are not going like you would like

dearest, if that's all you see, you must really be hurting right now.. I'm so sorry. Since you ask the question and included God, I'm guessing you do believe in Him. Our purpose in this life is to strive to be like Christ-and if you know anything about Jesus-you know His life was mostly just being human-until the last 3 yrs.. and that was about teaching the people about what is after this life and how to treat each other. Even though His death was horrible-it was the only way for us to ever be with God. there is so much more out there.. and i'm on messenger if you'd like to talk... there is so much more out there than the pain and confusion..

Life is meant to be a challenge, to bring out the most in the human spirit and human potential. It is definitly like a rough exercise program, but with the focus on the emotional muscles. One should be like a spiritual warrior, and fight to do your best to be a positive factor in your life and others arround you. Meditation/prayer, Mind-body or other exercise, healthy eating, and not overindulging will help. You must take one day at a time, and subtle positive thing should happen in your life. Pain is part of life and keeps people from over abusing themselves. One can learn to handle quite a bit of pain, and struggle in life. Then one can truly relate emotionally to people who need help. One has to earn ones spiritual strength and character, God makes one work hard, in order to gain spiritually. God does not reward laziness or lack of toughness. If you work at it, you will be surprised how tough you can become at handling all the obstacles that life can deal you. I am constanly trying to get tougher emotionally, because my focus is spiritual. I want to make a difference in this world. If people would face the tough and painful problems of this world, the world would be so much better. We must be responsible, not expect God to come and take care of things for us. God will always be there to guide and inspire us.

You remind me of someone - King Solomon, who wrote the book of Ecclesiastes.
"So I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind."
- Ecclesiastes 2: 17
Eventually, the wise king comes to a conclusion, at the end of the book.
As for me, the way I look at it is this:
Life without God leaves a void in us, a God-shaped void. God made us in such a way that we aren't complete without Him.
Without His presence in our lives, life is just a struggle after struggle, with some pauses between them. In other words, there's really no purpose to our lives when God isn't in it.

To test the metal of our spirit and will. In life he wants us to turn out the best we can be for Him in no matter what circumstances we are in. It's hard work and no one said life is easy. That is why you have friends or circumstances or passions that our the silver lining behind each experience. What does not kill you can only make you stronger.

The answer lies in this parable:
Matthew 13
24Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
27"The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'
28" 'An enemy did this,' he replied.
"The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'
29" 'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.' "

The questions you have asked are most intelligent and valuable. Understanding that this material world is a place of suffering, you ask why the Lord put us here in the first place. Why didn’t He just leave us in the spiritual world? And what is the purpose of our material existence?
The answer is that we are in the material world not because of Krishna's desire but because of our desire. As spiritual living beings, we are all originally Krishna conscious, and therefore our natural, healthy condition is that of servants of Krishna in the spiritual world. The vast majority of living beings never leave the spiritual world but stay there eternally. Some of us, however, for no good reason, chose to leave the service of Krishna, just as an unfortunate child may give up the loving protection of his father. Therefore we have come to the material world.
Krishna is completely independent, and since we are tiny parts of Krishna, we also have this same quality of independence, in a very small degree. When we use our independence properly, we stay eternally in the spiritual world. But when we misuse our independence we fall into the material world.
Misusing our independence means trying to enjoy independently from Krishna. If a hand wants to enjoy food, it has to give the food to the stomach. Then the hand will also enjoy it. The hand cannot enjoy independently. Similarly, we also can be happy only by serving Krishna. And when we try to be happy independently, that attempt is called mäyä, or illusion.
At the present moment, by illusion, we are trying to enjoy the resources of the material world, but instead we are struggling and suffering. Therefore Lord krishna says, “Please give up this needless struggle. Just surrender to Me and be happy.”
The soul in this material world is like a child who insists on touching fire. The father tells the child, “No, don’t touch it. You’ll get burned.” But if the child insists on touching it, the father finally says, “All right, go ahead and learn the hard way.” Similarly, Krishna is letting us “learn the hard way” by struggling in this material world.
But at the same time, Krishna gives us the opportunity to give up this illusory struggle, surrender to Him, and go back home, back to Godhead. That is the real purpose of material existence.
The easiest and most effective way to surrender to Krishna is by chanting the mahä-mantra—Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Räma, Hare Räma, Räma Räma, Hare Hare. By chanting Hare Krishna we associate with Krishna through transcendental sound. In this way our heart becomes purified of all misconceptions, and we return to our happy, normal condition.
The chanting is most effective when performed in the company of devotees. By associating with sincere devotees of the Lord, we revive our natural Krishna conscious devotion. And by continued practice in the association of devotees, under the guidance of a bona fide spiritual master, our life becomes completely successful.
Yes, that is the process. Please stick to this process, and Krishna will help you in every respect. Then it is sure that you will go back home, back to Godhead, for an eternal life of bliss and knowledge, and never return to this miserable material world.
Please take some time to read this book:

It is the only life you will get. You know happiness when you experience sorrow. You see beauty because there is ugliness. When you overcome your problem, you will taste success. Try to make the best of your life. There will not be another one.

Learning, baby - life is all about learning -and one of the first things you're supposed to learn is you bring most pain and suffering upon yourself. (there are exceptions, like random gunmen, etc, but for the most part, we create the circumstances that lead into being in harm's way.

a new born baby has a lot of problems.......
can't speak, can't walk, can't even turn its own self over, it crap on itself, pee on itself, depend on someone else for food, no good vision and only cry, laugh or sleep..........
yet it grows, learn to roll over, crawl, to walk, talk, fed itself and independents. why, because it was born with a will to survive and someone helped it when it couldn't help itself...........
does this remind you of someone?........
call upon the name of the LORD, you're His child, you'll always have someone to help you, your Heavenly Father..
He will fed us milk of His word, until we are able to walk and eat the meat of His word. do not give in, hold fast to your faith and wait just a while longer. ask God to give you insight to understand that there are many trails that we must over come to improve our strength to stand against the wind storms of life.............wishing you the best of everything...........
Merry Christmas
