First of all no one has a problem with immigrants, we welcome legal immigrants into our country all the time.
Second our economy would be a lot stronger if the illegals left, the take far more than the give.
Third, we will always have a diverse culture in the U.S because we welcome legal immigrants.
Fourth, other countries immigration problems are their problems not ours, so we don't care how they handle their affairs.
Finally, yes ours is a free country, yes I'm sure that is a reason why people come here, however we can only sustain so many people, and we have a right to know who is coming into our country and why. It is unfair to expect us to welcome someone who comes into our country illegally with open arms, when the first thing they did when they walked across the border was to break one of our laws.

I am not against immigrants. I am against illegal immigrants. There is a big difference. I realize that the United States needs the differents cultures. I am not against that. I am against coming here illegally. We should welcome people from all different backgrounds. But if they want to live here, they need to learn that we have laws that everyone must follow in order for our society to function. If we allow people to come here without having some kind of rules for them to follow, how does that do our society any good? They need to learn that you must follow the rules if you want to live in our safe country. And how can it be a safe place if people don't respcect the laws that all of our legal residents are expected to follow?

My guess is you mean illegal immigrants. Only a few people have issue with legal immigrants and those people are in the extreme minority. In fact those who want to come here legally are some of the most frustrated because they follow the rules and yet millions come here illegally and ignore the rules. Yeah I have a problem with those people and think they should go home so those who want to come here legally can come in.

I don't want to go to all the trouble of filling out papers and then waiting to get a bank loan. So I robbed the bank. I am using the money to make a better life for myself and my family. I even paid taxes on the stolen money. My good intentions more than make up for my criminal activity.
Also if I am arrested and sent to prison then my family will be ripped apart. Why should I and my family suffer just because I broke a silly law. Why can't we all just be allowed to rob banks or break any other laws we want if it helps out our families.
Under your logic I should be allowed to kill all the illegal immigrants I want. The fact that murder is illegal in this country has no bearing. Why should I, or anyone have to follow the laws when we have what we feel are good reasons for breaking them?

I'm not against immigrants at all I am very opposed to ILLEGAL immigrants coming here. If an individual wishes to come to the USA they need to go through the process to do it lawfully. I have ancestors that came here from another country. They did not break the law to do it and even took it upon themselves to learn to speak English.

I am not against immigrants but I do firmly know we must control the numbers, character and types of people who we let in.

We should not be allowing any more then the numbers who emigrate outward. This will allow our country to stabalize its population a little bit. We will still hit 400 million in a few decades if we do this. If not then we will hit 5-600 million in that same time frame.

You can call me anything you like but most people move to places that are not as crowded if they can afford it. Crowded countries are the worst in terms of standard of living. Look at China and India - Nobody moves INTO those countries. If large numbers of people is such a great thing those 2 countries would have HUGE lines of people wanting in.

All of my ancestors came from other countries, except one gg grandfather which was a cherokee and was already here. But they came in legally, through Ellis Island. They never asked for handouts, free medical care, etc etc. They came to work in the coal mines. Then went to war for the US and some lost their lives, in the Civil War, WWI, and WWII. That's a lot different than the illegal immigrants are doing now. They come in looking for a free handout, free medical care, free housing. A lot of difference! The are illegal, that means "against our laws". Get it?

I'm not an immigrant of any kind along with all of my family as far back as I can remember or have known. 100% American non-immigrant here and nobody can tell me any different. Born in the U.S.A.

You're going to be hard pressed to find anyone who is against immigrants on this board.

I don't give a Shi* about your wants. You are a visitor not a citizen. Your arguments contradict our laws. It is not a free country, it is MY country. I follow MY country's laws. You would destroy MY country by allowing Illegal foreigners to steal services and jobs and flaunt the laws of the land. It will never happen. Look up the definition of sovernty and see how many of your 3rd world countries are willing to give it up just because aliens cross their border. That is historically cause for war.
