Theist, right?
I do have a preference for raw data instead of conclusions. But I don't necessarily need to see the evidence in person.
If the source is unbiased; a reputable scientific institution, a person who I know to be truthful.
If I know the oppsite to be false.
If it seems to fit other known facts; if it's just a clarification or expansion of already verified facts.
If I can test/prove it myself.
Also if I can only hear the evidence, I'll not ask it to be converted to a graphical representation.
That's about all I can come up with now.

No, I take things that aren't hinged on desperation and fear into consideration also.
Edit: So while I don't have any evidence and know almost nothing about the universe, I imagine the "Big Bang" theory to be correct. No one's asking me or threatening me into thinking this way. Nor do I have anything to benefit from it, it's not a theory by which millions of believers derive comfort.
There aren't scientists preaching the prosperity Gospel of the Big Bang, or telling me to believe in the Big Bang or burn in Hell.
Before anyone points this out, I know the Big Bang isn't the ultimate explanation, I am just using it for illustrative purposes.

I only believe in things I have evidence for, although I may experience the evidence in ways other than seeing. Just because I don't specifically believe in something, however, doesn't mean I believe in its non-existence. I believe in an awful lot of possibilities. (Just because I haven't met an alien doesn't mean they don't exist. Then again, it doesn't mean they do either. It's a possibility.)

The minute I say "yes", my words will be twisted and people will say stupid things like "have you ever SEEN evolution?" So...I'm going to say, I believe in things that make sense, that are plausible and that have been thoroughly proven.

Yes, pretty much.
It also depends on the importance of the subject. I'd be much more willing to take things on faith that have little impact on me.

no. I personally like things that last...
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. "
