You are not competing to save lives.

You are first to apply biblical principles in your life first. And I mean NO PICKING what you want to believe in and what you don't, and absolutely DO NOT compromise between serving God or men.

And then, your righteous ways should either inspire others by your emplarry conduct, and you should preach the word of God to all whom you meet.

Remember you cannot win everybody.

Jesus warned people that 'wide and spacious is the road to destruction.' The majority of people will never accept to follow biblical principles, or at least not to the point of not allowing certain compromises in their faith.
As stated in James 4:4, being friends with the world constitues you an enemy of God.

Choose which side you're on, and let others do the same.

The Way of the Master idea works ok for some people . . . 'you're going to hell because you broke the 10 commandments."

But most people are smarter than this, and it forces them to believe the 10 commandments as a basis for understanding the cocept.

The best way to spread the Good News is to tell your story . . not the Bible, not 'debates.'

Simply explain how God has made your life better. How Christ has changed your life. Explain the difference Christ makes in your life.

Christianity is about a personal relationship with Christ . . . explain your personal relationship.

Godspeed.

Get a bank account.
Wear polyester suits.
Smarm up your hairstyle.
Shout louder.
Threaten everyone with eternal toasting more often.
Promise the gullible all manner of unlikely rewards.
Have a secret sexual relationship with someone inappropriate.
Use mind-expanding chemicals but don't tell anyone.
You MUST ask for financial contributions to enable your caterwauling to continue.
Stay in the US. Don't try this in the UK or Europe, where you would be laughed back to the airport.
Sell religious artifacts on-line, regardless of their validity but claim that they have supernatural powers. Charge an inflated price.
Get out there and meet more atheists, rather than 'preach to the already converted' ... but be prepared to receive an immense amount of ridicule.

and so on.

You have to be raking in the big bucks to be considered a great evangelist. So I think you should start with some good old fashion corruption...followed by a healthy dose of being able to talk fast and convicingly....then you may want to get yourself on T.V. and offer the masses some miracle that you can deliver via the postoffice....oh and don't forget to get a prayer hotline that will bring up your numbers substantially.

By being a kinder person, by being a friend to more people.

Just as an interesting experiment, ask in your church how many people came to Christ through the influence of a friend. You will be surprised! And it usually doesn't happen because the person gave a fantastic presentation of the Gospel in four or five points. No, it happens by the "Come and see" principle (See the last part of John chapter 1: Jesus used it, Andrew used it, Phillip used it).
EDIT:
And NEVER argue. Never, never argue. It's a waste of time and a turn-off.

true ethical mastery resides in a tri-fold comprehension

you have to first and foremost understand and incorporate a method of government that out-does anyone else's or else they'll doubt you.. (hint: the best government is a scientist's government that uses postulate test conclude simplify carried through efficiency justice freedom, where the main goal is to guarantee the most effective method of eliminating the need to work and to depend on slavery)

the second comprehension involves the core classification of collective memory based on pragmatism. there needs to be an enhanced capacity to bank on types of scenarios (there are 12 x 2 and they're called phasic energy types). there needs to be an enhanced grasp of context ( there are 9 x 3- reflective). there needs to be also a complete sub-dictionary of all 24 concepts ( alot of christianity deals with faith and love and belief and purity.. those are all just 4/24 that deal solely with magnetism or "the benefits of prayer" which really is just like saying that "the secret" is the one true doctrine.. which it isn't.. derr)

lastly and most importantly you need to be with people a LOT! a bunch of the different dillemas that come up b/w aquantainces (you don't want life-partners here, just people to chill with..) have 3 categories
intuitive problems- 3/4 pi r cubed ( chillaxing w/o trippin)
logical problems- a^2 + b^2 = c^2 (cause/effect= consequence)
emotional problems- x = -b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)
----------------------------
2a
(emotional problems deal with the reliability of how all movies end in some kind of non-taxing form of stone-setting / error elimination)

I take it since you want to be a better evangelist, you really believe in God. And if that is the case, you already know what to do. Pray...Obey Pray...Obey Pray...Obey You might want to through in a fast or two. This is what you do. You put it above all priorities.

You need the calling.
many are called but few are chosen
Being a great debater does not make you a great evangelist.
You have to first become a better Christian and ask God to show you what his purpose for you is.
Remember Church has many parts and not every member can be a head.

The Bible says that the word of God is like a two edged sword....speak it. The world will think that you are "forcing" them to your religion but it's just their conscience being convicted. The word will pierce their heart. Some will repent but others will hate you.
