Maybe Eve was created by a callous God to tempt poor old wholesome Adam. What could he do but swoon over her fruits? The age old walking, talking snake (created by God).

Remember there is nothing not created by God.

The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The tree planted in The Garden of Eden by God for no purpose except to tempt. Is God the trickster?

Where was Eden again? Jackson, Mississippi?

God the Son faced temptation just as all humans do. God the Father, on the other hand... What could ever possibly tempt Him? He already has all the wealth, all the knowledge, all the power, etc.. There is nothing outside of His grasp, there is nothing that could ever tempt Him.

Besides, since He makes the rules (and rightly so!), He cannot break the rules; He can do whatever He wants. Thus, again I ask, what could ever possibly tempt Him?

The Bible never states that God created us in his image. The Bible states that God said let Us make man in our image. Our image meaning the spiritual beings in heaven including God, the angel, and the other spiritual beings in heaven. God never states that he created us in his physical image. God has no permanent physical image; God is a spiritual being, something that our finite minds have great difficulty comprehending. This is covered in the book THE FORGOTTEN TRUTH. It is available as a free download at the site below.

Eve was mortal, but image is spiritual. Even today, the substance of a mortal does not exist in the mind of God, but the identity or individuality does.

Remember Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness- however He was without sin- being tempted is not sin, falling into the temptation is.

does image have anything to do with behavior? humans have free will, everyone agrees on that. for those who believe in god they believe that he is infallible/ can never committ a sin. as far as being tempted i have no idea, i seem to recall something in the bible about jesus being tempted by the devil and almost giving in or something. but whatever, its all a bunch of lies anyway.

oops there goes my oppurtunity at best answer...

Wjhile God created us to his own image. mankind refuse it and became sinners. They chose to be sinners and to follow the temptations of the devil, however, not all of huymans follow satan.
Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Well, Jesus /was/ tempted by Satan while on Earth, but He refused to give in. Temptation is human, resistance thereto is Divine.

Besides, as others have pointed out, "in His image" does not mean identical clones. We are made to be similar to our Maker, but also expressions of His artistry.

Our bodies are created in his image. It is not possible for him to be tempted by sin as it is the soul/spirit that is succeptible to that temptation. When we become Christians, we get part of his spirit in us, which detests sin, but we're able to sin because we're not perfect in spirit, as He is. Our bodies are what are referred to in that quote.
