I need to understand what nanotechnology is and how it is used but im only 13 so please make it easy for me to understand.

This is the science of extremely small 'machines' that we can control to do certain types of work.

There are mechanical nanotechnologies (though the mechanics of manufacuring mechanical nanites would be extreme) and there are biological or chemical nanotechnologies (more promising for commercial production).

nanotechnology is the science of making things smaller. Alexander Graham Bell invented the telepohone almost 80 some years ago... the original cell phones were bigger than a show box and needed a special bag to help cary them. Nanotechnology now makes it possible for a devise ten times as functional to slip perfectly into your shirt pocket
