Don't use water, it spreads. Acid tends to work, try some lime/lemon juice or tomato juice. Some people claim milk helps, but I've never found it particularly helpful.

Well one stop eating the hot sauce, 2 drink a glass of milk, and 3 wash the capsasian oils from the sauce off your lips might take few washings to work. When they do cool down might want to re hydrate them with a little lip balm so they dont get to dried out. And drink plenty of water that helps too.

Here in New Mexico people tent to eat ALOT OF GREEN AND RED CHILIES. I have always used milk or bread. WATER WILL ONLY PROLONG YOUR AGONY. I know - I had a bowl of pica-de-gallo ( I think this is how it is spelled) sauce and drank lots of water - it did no good at all. Now I automatically get a glass of milk and can continue eating with out as much pain. I too am a native Texan.

They are chapped and sensitive. Try using chapstick either constantly to heal the lips, or directly before eating. Drinking milk before the hot sauce may also help.

i might prefer to appreciate too, because of the fact i'm very mushy to pretty spiced meals (in spite of the undeniable fact that i like the flavor of chinese language chili- that's a seize 22 project) yet my complete family individuals likes pretty spiced nutrition. i've got got here upon that milk works. whilst your mouth gets too pretty spiced, take a swig of milk (undeniable) and graceful it around your mouth to get your complete mouth. Swallow the milk. you will word you mouth isn'y burning as lots anymore. Now, my mouth is extremely mushy to pretty spiced meals, so milk would not thoroughly neutralize the spicyness for me- inspite of the undeniable fact that it facilitates. whilst there is not any milk in sight, I consume some thing else it is not pretty spiced. we've rice with very almost each meal till we are having noodles (we are Asian), so i'm going to start ingesting rice. it incredibly is in elementary terms a manner of salivating extra to attempt and drool the spicyness away. do no longer use water or juice. they do no longer help, and can in elementary terms make it worse. protecting ice on your mouth would not do lots the two (it will quickly numb your mouth, however the burning will come splendid returned). all people have the different techniques of coping with the burning from pretty spiced meals?

Get a little milk and submerge your lips in it until the burning stops. I can't believe I know this will work, but it does.

Try using blistex or vaseline or something with aloe. If your mouth and throat are burning too, drink some milk, which may help your lips a little too.

The hot part of peppers is an oil. Water doesn't take care of it. Eat bread or drink milk.

Capsasin the hot in peppers is soluble in fat. Yogurt or Milk will absorb the hot relatively quickly, don't waste any time on water or alcohol!
