gunna be 16 in march-male, 174 lbs, 5'10
lifting weights for a year for football
getting real good gains but plateaued my bench, stuck at135x4 for a month now
5, 6 weeks ago i got 135x8 but i can just get 4 in now because i bench at least once a week, 4 sets

now i switched up the workout but bench 2x a week because of football
usually do 115x10
125x8
125x8
SOMETIMES(135x3 or 4) so 3 sets 2x a week
MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS
mon- bench, incline, db curls, barbell rows, chest flies, close grip bench
wed legs
FRI- bench, shoulder press, front/side lateral raises, pullups, db curls, skull crushers
tues, thurs, weeknd rest

i def plateaued because i'm getting real good gains in other areas but not on my bench like i can incline a bit more than kids who do same weight more reps for bench press wtf, i know i have way more mass and strength too so its def plateau
should i switch to dumbell chest press 2x a week, for the next week?
HELP ME WIT da PLATEAU
my diet is real good and my tris and shoulders

you should basically be training like a power lifter to achieve your goals. there could be a number of things that could be wrong which is causing your bench to plateau.

I lift weights and run. Switch off each day. Weight training will raise your metabolism and you will burn more calories while in a state of rest. When I run I run for at least 3 miles. For weight training I have a weight machine, do upper and lower body, sit ups, and also use dumb bells. More women should be doing weight training. It feels great to be toned - you don't have to develop huge muscles. But I definitely would recommend a combination between weights and cardio. The older you get the more you need to do to keep your metabolism going. I never had a problem before until I hit 35. The combination of both has helped me keep my weight at where I want it without dieting.
