Something about who the actual prophet of islam is, correct me if i am wrong. Personally I feel this sunni shia thing is just cause a rift between muslims. the truth of the matter is as muslims we should unite and help each other not kill each other.

O.K. I learned something new today. So the Muslims do have different ways of beliefs and worshipping. I thought they believed in all the same ways. It is now a bit more complicated. Sort of all like Christians; they lack solid foundations because of too many mistranslation of the Holy Scriptures. They can't have an agreement of Christ Jesus; Son of God or God Himself. Very sad and torn apart. Divisions causes falls and destructions.
Interesting, what ONE religion will be the final TRUE FAITH under Christ Jesus.

The difference is that one uses running water for washing etc, while the other uses still water. I don't remember which is which though.

I found this out in Istanbul a few months ago.

I would be interested to know, and may watch the tape, Mr. K.Gnostic. But what is sad, is that religions seems to cause the spark of fighting among people, humans, who have taken the concept of God, which to me, is fabricated by man, through his fears, needs and unknowing of their true source, to fight among themselves for a fantasy figure who protects them. Offers them refuge if they, the people who are theists, take refuge in "Him." I as Buddhist am a pacifist, I will fight for no fantasy figure, nor the people under SUCH! Buddha, was a teacher, not a God. His teachings make sense to me, but nowhere do his teachings lead me to fight my fellow man. On earth, at present I respect my spiritual teacher, the Dalai Lama, because he embodies the spirit of the teachings. And also do I respect him for saying publicly, that "Being called the re-incarnation of Buddha: is "silly", he is only a simple monk, who has been trained to speak of compassion being the principle feeling in us to be given to all!
Buddhist do not fight for Buddha's sovereignty, because he has none above any one else. And he is not a God, so what would be fight about, while in life, WITH OUR OWN FELLOW MEN, if No God demands that we only defend even to the death and among our own kind, WHAT, for the protection of what we ourselves have created, Fabricated in order to take fanatical refuge in a Parent figure called a GOD??? And I am not speaking of Islam, only, I am speaking of all theistic religions. Remember the Knights of Templar, The Crusades? They murdered thousands trying to defend the NAME of their God.
No, I am quite content to have the teaching of the Buddha lead me in my actions, through the simplicity, the practicality of compassion. Buddhism is not a religion, by the way, it is no more than a very practical, philosophy.
I'll not take refuge under any man-made God. For I am not afraid of being in the great big world and with no positive knowledge of my source, as a creature evolved from nature.
I will NOT out of fear Accept the Refuge of God by any other name, the same, really, as all His clones because I am afraid, therefore I'll cling, even if it calls for the killing of my fellow man, only to feel Protected by a demanding of all power deity which I myself fabricated, because in this life of no guarantees and mad random, I am a CHILD still, and must cling to Him for his protection???
I will never do that.
No matter what consequences are to be met, and WHAT measures I face, not by some GOD, but by my own brethren's "Fabrication" the others in the "(clan of fear)" will try to impose on me.
No, thank you, I'll not be the perpetual child in this.
I will not obey a Fabricated Parent, I now would believe is truly The Supreme Being!
That is PRIMITIVE thinking. I might as well, bow every time I light my stove, or strike a match to the God of Fire. For that is what the ONE True God, with the different names, faces and rules is. No more that the fear-casting Bully of our own making!
No more than the hysterical cry of our desperate fears!
With no further ado,
Grecia.
