I have been comparing the Nikon D40 to the Samsung Digimax i5. I have been told that the Nikon D40 is better. Could someone please send me a comparison between the two of them, and give me your opinion of which of the two I should get.

Thanks!

I don't think I can answer that but this is what I do in all kinds of different thing like fridge stove washers dryers. First go to a store and ask them the features. then go to another store and ask the same question on the same camera or another one then just do this till you are happy that you know about the different cameras. Then go into the first store you went to and say well this camera will do this and that camera will-do this. See what they say.

The two are completely different. The Samsung is a pocket-sized, extremely thin, point-and-shoot. The D40 is a DSLR with interchangeable lenses. The D40 is more expensive, much heavier, and impossible to fit into a pocket (well, maybe a kangaroo could pull it off).

Go with the Nikon.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Go to dpreviews.com and read the review of both cameras.
