My boyfriend is 26. I am 24. We have been dating about a month but we have long distance relationship so it is either spending the night at his house or getting a hotel room which I can't really afford. The thing is we have been great friends for a year or so and we haven't seen eachother in person since we began the "relationship". This will be the first time. We've actually only seen eachother in person a few times but a year ago we started phone conversations that were great and it developed into something much more.... so now we are going to see how it is in person with our "relationship". We are both virgins, and don't plan on doing anything like that. Do you think it is a good idea or do you think it will be uncomfortable and awkward? The thing is I don't want us to feel like we HAVE to get physical such as kissing or whatever (sex wont happen).....but I don't want physical things to feel forced.

I would be very very careful in this situation because you haven't meet this person face to face yet. People can lie easily over the phone and say they are this or that kind of person and when you actually see that person it turns out to be all wrong.

Sometimes it's even dangerous to meet up with people whom you've never seen in person.

I met up with some guy I talked to and only seen pictures of, some of the things he told me where true but there were many things he didn't tell me that I found out later and I regret ever meeting him.

So just be very careful in this situation.

Good luck to you.

Your heart-felt question suggests you have little experience in this area (especially considering you age). While It is possible to spend a night with a person of the opposite sex and not have sex...it is naive to expect no physical touching will occur. And would it be so bad if it did?

Life is meant to be embraced, experienced and enjoyed! Take a chance, little risks equates to little reward.

They won't be, turn on the tv and be interested in the tv, read a book, something like that. If you are both sitting there and theres nothing to do, things will get awkward.

i say go hard! and if you both know your boundaries then it should be fine. but i dont understand why u r both afraid of getting a little bit physical? if you have a long distance relationship shouldnt use jump at the chances to have a bit of a kiss or maybe more? thats just my opinion though. good luck!

I'd seriously consider another arrangement for your visitation other than sleeping together. Frankly this preconceived notion would or could kiss virginity goodbye.

Yes spend the night with him, why not enjoy his friendship. As for having sex with him is up to the two of you.

Go and give it a trial but both of you have to agree that their is not going to be sex at this initial stage.

Get a hotel.. If you have to stay with him sleep in a different room so you don't appear easy..

spend the night, but make sure he knows nothing is going to happen, you just want to spend quality time with him. nevertheless bring a box of condoms just in case.
