What of these have you taught your children?

The most important lessons I taught my 2 kids are , in everything they do, give their best. Always be responsible, respectful and thankful. Never to take anything or anyone for granted. Nothing is impossible if we have faith in the Lord.

All that and a whole lot more.

If the foundation of good character isn't well formed by the time they're 5 or 6 you're not doing your job as a parent.

Negative traits can be hard to affect with the most consistent positive reinforcement. So a half hearted attempt at teaching your children the most important lessons of their lives will come back to hurt everyone.

I have taught my son all the above, because its very important for a child to have all of those morals and values at a young age so they carry it throughout adulthood.I'm also a single mother.

everything respect, how to be independant but know he can rely on me and daddy and our family for anything. taught him things that are right and things that are not nice. and to know it doesnt matter what sex he is into, what he has done wrong or even if he gets a girl pregnant, i love him and i will support him no matter what it is and he should never be afraid to talk to me

I am a parent

I try to teach them to have self respect first and foremost, then to respect others who are deserving of respect; and teach them the golden rule.
