I am filing out some work applications and i dont knw how to word it were it ask "Reason For Leaving" I was fired from 1 job and I left another one because I found a better paying job.. So now my question is what should i put down for the job I was "fired" from and for the one that I left. (these jobs were like 3yrs apart from each other)

Please Help.....

I dont want to lie about being "fired" but yet then again that word (fired) is such a harsh one...

For the "fired" job, I might just put "other". As for the one that you left for a better paying job, I would put "better opportunity".

i wouldnt put down fired. i'd put down either 1) laid off or 2) I put in a 2 week notice but was terminated a few days later because the company was angry with me for leaving

FIRED is strong word to use, try "Internal Downsizing", same info, but not as offencive!
