Why are the Christians in this justifying the terrorist's actions? We Muslims say the same, and know that they are not true Muslims because they are attacking other Muslims and innocent people. So how come this guy is excused but the small percentage of Muslims who make the news are representatives for all Muslims? Aren't you guys having a double standard here?

Proud Muslimah,
I hope that you know me better than that. I do not attempt to judge others min that fashion. YOU are such a wonderful young lady. I am sorry for all of the hatred that has been spread over this forum. I also feel the same way in this matter! I am truly sorry for the nasty opinions of some people on here. Have a great week.
Thank YOU,
Eds (Peace my Friend)

I really don't get the impression that Christians are justifying his actions. They are saying he wasn't a true Christian just as Muslims say the muslim terrorists are not true Muslims. Yes a few of the people who answered talked about the possibility of him having mental problems and in a way that seems to justify his actions, so I can see where you get that impression. However you are correct that the small percentage of Muslims who make the news are identified as representative of all Muslims and that is wrong. It just keeps adding fuel to those ignorant people who want to include all Muslims in the same group. It never ceases to amaze me that so many people in this world seem to search for the negative in people instead of the positive. I continually speak out against those who say all Muslims are terrorists. Although it often falls on deaf ears, I will not cease because eventually I hope to change at least one person's opinion, who then may change another person's opinion and so on until there are more of us who see the truth than choose to believe a lie.

If a Christian goes out and kills and says, "Jesus is Great" while doing it, then that person could be called a Christian terrorist. This Matthew said he hated Christians. How could that make him a Christian or a Christian terrorist?

Christians are followers of Christ Jesus. Jesus is our example, and a perfect one at that. He never killed, never said to kill, never said to terrorize.

A Muslim terrorist comes right out and says Allah is great before slaughtering people. In the Koran, Allah said to instill terror on the infidels. Muhammad and his companions did just that. A Muslim who kills is justified by the Koran. A Christian who kills is not justified in any way.

Why can't you see the difference?

here is the same answer I posted to that question just now...

very unlikely he was a True Christian... The world conciders a lot more to be Christian than are True Christians... this nut was just a mentaly unbalanced individual who commited a horrable act... the muslim terrorists are motivated by political or religious zeal and are usualy not mentaly unbalanced... but commit well thought out and organized acts for very specific goals... The muslims commiting the "terrorist" acts do not concider themselves terrorists... and in fact they are devout and genuine followers of allah.... there is only one allah...there is only one koran... there is only one islam... there is no such thing as a "moderate" muslim... the so-called moderates will suffer the same fate under the law of islam as any infidel who fails to fully submit to the law of allah...

Are you in turn classifying all Christians as saying all Muslims are terrorists? I do not feel this way, and I do not know any Muslims personally to sit around and share our faith and their similarities. I could not begin to tell you what you believe in. Anyone who hate his brother or neighbor does not have the Lord in his heart and deceives himself.

This guy did not make a statement that he was commiting this crime because Christianity compelled him to, unlike people who blow things up because they feel that is what their religion asks of them. Therefore, this is not the same type of motivation, and they are not parallel.

Edit: Dec 11- Today more news has come out that the shooter stated his goal was to kill "as many as possible, especially Christians." So obviously he did not identify himself as a Christian. Terrorist yes, but not Christian.

You say Terrorist are not true muslims but that means they are muslims. How can you represent the true Muslims? Do true Muslims pick on the small flaws of Christian religion and ignore the big flaws of their own?

He is a terrorist, but unfortunately the groups that advocate terror in Islam have grown larger than Christian terrorism for the time being, so they get the spotlight...

(Of course half the Muslims we call terrorists aren't, and Christian-run media would still tend to downplay Christian terror even if it were equally large, but the current imbalance remains.)

I don't know of anything that a Muslim person has done wrong. But it is true the Muslim extremists have to potential to be terrorists, but so do Christian extremists, and Jewish extremist, and George Bush.

yeah man...you better hope that this question is ignored. But i have to admit it. i'm christian and i've made mistakes too. It's just that since Muslims do much more extreme things, like suicide bombings, in the name of their honor, pride, and god that they get more attention. Also because of the dum@$$ war held in Europe. I'll admit that both religeons have flaws..
