Lips are fine, but the area around it is driving me nuts. It's been this way for about 3 weeks now. I've tried all sorts of things, including: Chapstick, Campho Phenique, Neosporin and Aveno oatmeal lotion. I dont now what else to try, and it isn't going away. Any ideas of what it is or what I should try? Thanks, -Kevin

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

I got diagnosed with herpes type 2 about seven years ago, when I was still in college and had a spupid one-night stand. I know a lot of girls will say this but I swear – I never did that sort of thing.

I jud made mistake that one timd and, suddenly, it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her you-know-what?

But after a frind share this video http://tinyurl.com/EraseHerpesw everything has changed. Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again.

I even met the man of my dreams and I`m so blessed to write that just last week, in fornt of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program gave me back the change to be happy, and to experience true love. Now I want to help you share this the world.

I forgot what it's called, but I have the same problem. Apply some Carmex on the outside parts, heavy. After that add a layer of water on all parts of your lips to make them feel and look better. I guess some of these answers are better to get rid of chapped lips, but its to make you feel better.

Typically, skin conditions such as eczema have to do with poor dieting. Learn here https://tr.im/gYCTO
Eczema food triggers such as eggs, fish, peanuts, and soy are known to help reduce flare-ups, but this can vary from person to person. These foods may also exacerbate eczema because many people cannot properly digest the proteins, which causes an allergic reaction.

Believe it or not , it is a shortage of vitamin D in your diet.
You need to eat green vegetables or take vitamin D supplement. It will go away in a day or two if you eat greens or take the pills.

My son and daughter used to get this when they chose not to eat their veggies. And recently I developed it when a new medication turned me off vegetables.

Your skin cracks at the corners of the mouth and nose.

Eat a can of green beans or a salad or pick up the Vitamin D supplement. I take about 1000 Mg's. daily. It solved the problem in 2 days.

Good Luck and Happy Holidays.

My friend had it and she said Neosporin worked for her. It took a while to get rid of though, so just be patient. As for what it is, it's just severe dry skin.

It's winter. It makes your lips dry.

Don't put lotion on them!

Try Blistex. It's the best when they're like that.
And make sure to keep reapplying.
