I'm probably going to be serving my mandatory 24 hours in jail from a DUI plea soon, and I'm not sure what, if anything, I can bring in with me. Does anyone know?

Your teeth if you watch your mouth :-)

No, seriously, call them up at the jail and ASK.

Our jail doesn't allow anything. They provide everything you'll need.

Oh, if you've got jewelry that won't come off, they've probably got cutters! Hate to see anyone lose a family heirloom.

You'll take nothing into population that you check yourself in with, so bring nothing but I.D and your clothes. maybe a cell phone so you can call for a ride when you leave. They'll store the stuff for you.

Its the same all over.

Bring anything you want. You won't be allowed to keep any of it while you are in jail. They MAY allow a paperback book, but don't count on it.

I would suggest you bring nothing.. no rings, watches, cash, wallet, anything...
Anything you DO bring will be taken as property and held till you're released.
You'll be given clothing, shoes, etc.
Good luck, be careful and if you drop the soap in the shower, don't pick it up.
