The first thing was how thankful I was that God gave me another day on this earth and thanked Him for it. Then I thought about all the things I had to do today and the rest of the week.

It is 26 degrees and I have a 68 mile drive to L.A. to work(I live up in the Mtns. above San Bernadino).I wanna sleep in!!! But alas as I have for 31 years I'm up at 3:50 AM.

I thought that I should tell my 17 teen year old that its was time for her to move out. She won't do what she asked or told. Believes she is right and behaves as if no one else lives here. I'm pretty fed up. Well that was my first thought of this day & that sucks.

Jews have a prayer we say when we first wake up:
"I gratefully thank you, O living and eternal King, for you have returned my soul within me with compassion, abundant is your faithfulness"
It is said during that transition period between sleeping and waking. Our thoughts throughout the day are affected by what we first think in the day. So we wake with thoughts of thanks, a recognition of G-d as our King, and recognition of G-d's faithfulness in keeping promises.

God, I slept so late.
I woke up at four p.m. (it's exam week). I have no idea why I shut off my alarm for three hours!
