I haven't been paying enough attention......(on TV if you don't know what I'm talking about) --- it's causing re-runs and a couple shows not on the air.

No its not. . . and it doesn't look like it will be anytime soon. Many of the writers are hoping to last until the Actor's strike in June 2008. Talks just broke down last week when the SWG (Screen Writer's Guild) demanded more money from the studios. Many are saying that the Actor's strike will be more harmful to the studios.

Far from it. That is usually one of the first things they bring up in LA local news. Now they are trying to drag production of reality programming into it.

It sucks for LA. There is a HUGE population there that depends on the entertainment production industry for work to survive.

I agree with asnplayer5. It will be a long strike.
I'm a "below the line" crew member who, along with thousands of other crew members are out-of-work and stand to gain nothing from this strike. We only lose more as it continues.

well I have heard that it might not even be settled by summer so we may not see new tv untill next winter . I wish they would get this thing settled.
