It sounds like she needs to nurse a little longer. Take her to a vet.

Have you taken the puppies and mom to the vet since they were born? There is a chance the mother could have suffered an injury during birth since it was 3 days long and now she is acting irritable to her puppies because she is in pain. Or the puppies could be sick causing the mother to pick off the weakest pups. Also the mother dog, even though she is a great pet might not have had the best temperament for breading and just plain does not know how to be a mother. So I would recommend stopping by the vet, getting all the dogs a check-up and talking to your vet about the possibility of you taking over nursing with puppy formula and a puppy nurser. Good luck and I hope everything turn out well for you and all your dog. Oh and kudos on stepping up and really taking on the responsibility of not only the mother but her puppies.

You're going to have to belly wrap her for comfort. You'll be lucky if she doesn't get milk fever. Take the dog to the vet for a shot to dry up her milk. Have her spayed. She should have been allowed to wean those pups herself. Shame on you.

this i believe is normal. It happens to most females when there milk dries up. When my friend had a child and she stopped breast feeding she said that she was in excruciating pain for a couple of weeks. once the milk dries up then she should start feeling better

call ur vet she might have mastitis and it is very painfull and she could get pretty sick. the vet can give u meds to help her dry up.u can try washing her nipples with warm water to get the milk moving and hopefully drip out.sometimes kneading might help with the flow and having a blockage will cause a bad infection. please call the vet for advice.
