Traditionally, the French have broken their fasts each morning with a bread product and tea. Coffee was introduced when the explorers brought coffee beans and cocoa beans back from "The New World". This gave them an option of either coffee or hot chocolate instead of tea.

Recently, dietitians in France have stated that the traditional breakfast is not balanced enough, so they have begun adding fruits, yogurts and cereals to their menus. But the heavier English and American styles of breakfast (eggs, sausages, fried potatoes, bacon, etc) have not become popular with the French people.

Probably some very good coffee and pastries! I'm thinking some french pastries, breakfast sandwiches (grilled ham and cheese), espresso etc.
