Jesus didn't tell his followers to be weak. He told them to store up treasures in heaven vs trying to get treasures on earth. The things on earth will be destroyed...they are temporary. 1 John 2:15-17.
Matthew 6:20. - Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.
Seeking first the kingdom and God's righteousness is the most important thing in life. Matthew 6:31-34.
We are to do all things for God's glory and in moderation (1 Corinthians 10:31).
We don't want to be distracted from all of the things that this world has to offer. We want to focus on developing a relationship with God and bring our lives in harmony with his will. Matthew 6:19-21.
When we put God first in our life in all aspects it shows what we value.

There is NOWHERE in the Bible that Jesus says Christians should be "weak".
Are you looking for something specific -- are you trying to prove a point?
If you can give more specific info it'd be helpful and we'd know how to help you better.

Actually, the Roman Catholic church is still standing, by the way, and we've never disappeared. anyway, God told Pontious Pilate "You would not have power unless it was given to you from above." Power is a gift, not something we should take. and i assure you that if you become prideful it WILL be taken from you. All power on heaven and earth belongs to God alone. He is King!

im sorry. i dont know where you got that from but jesus never told anyone who choses to follow him to remain weak. now we should be meak and peace makers. the bible said "if god be for me,no man can be against me" that means if god has it in your lifes plan to become president thats whats gonna happen and no one on this earth is gonna be able to stop that. so why would he tell us to remain weak. we are supposed to be the salt of the earth, light in darkness,a beacon...how can we do that in a weak position

I find it impossible to deal with lies.
If my opponent can lie and I can not. I can never win. If they can constantly beat me down with lies and I have to turn the other cheek. Plus my continence prevents me from aggressively pointing the lies out that would cause job loss.
I appear weak because of my forgiveness and tolerance understanding and compassion and refusal to bare false witness or lie.

Nowhere. Every reference in the bible that I can find says to be meek (under God's control) but to ACT in His Power.

check this one out:
2Cr 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

"Turn the other cheek"
Very useful to make people weak and submissive. In general and/or in specific situations when they should actually be standing up for themselves.

I seem to remember that Jesus promised the disciples they would rule over kingdoms or tribes or something...
(Haven't got my Concordance handy, so can't quote the text)
