Cult "a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader"

Islam is an established religion, not false, unorthodox or extremist. Certain sects of Islam are cults, same as certain sects of Christianity.

It has all the ear markings of a cult. It not only does not allow its members to question its teachings, it kills those who convert out of Islam (even one's own family members) and those involved in getting people out of that cult. It controls its members through physical and legal suppression allowing no freedom of choice.
