It's mango sorbet. It says to put it all in an ice cream maker, but do i really need to? thank you!

No. You can grab a small coffee can to put the ingredients in then put the can into a larger coffee can filling the empty space with ice and rock salt. Go play kick the can for about 15-20 minutes. You should have some nice creamy sorbet. When making larger amounts you could opt for a clean round trash can to take the place of the coffee can.

Most ice creams can be made without one. Follow the directions and put the ingredients into a coffee tin with a lid and put that tin into a bigger tin filled with ice cubes and salt. Roll it around and shake it. It may take a while but you won't have to buy the ice cream maker!

You can freeze it in a pan in the freezer, scrapign w/ a fork now and then until frozen, but the texture will be coarse and have large ice crystals in it, like a granita. If you like that texture, go for it. If you don't, use an ice maker.
