right now as you read this, my cat, fuego, (spanish for fire, cause he's red- orange), is stuck in a 100 ft. tree. fuego has six toes on each foot. i call him my mitten- kitten. how should i get Mr. fuego down?

My ex used to say no one has ever found a cat skeleton in a tree.
However, if he's not down by tomorrow, call the fire dept.
But I would give him a chance on his own because chances are good he'll go up again and if he finds his own way down now then he'll be able to handle the process more easily in the future.

Get a ladder and climb up there to get him yourself, Your right it is animal abuse to leave the cat stranded in the tree...You need to go get a huge ladder, or ask around your neighborhood for one. Do you have an animal rescue, or something, Or maybe ring up some construction workers and tell them you will pay them 2 retrieve your cat, any buisness that is friendly and would have high equipment , you should consider calling..

Most cases if he goes up he will come down just wait put a dish of food at the base of the tree Good Luck

Stand at the base of the tree, call his name a couple of times, open a can of tuna, and set it at the base of the tree. If he doesn't come down within a few minutes, call the fire dept and plead for a ladder unit to come. (You will probably be billed for their time, but to save a beloved pet, it's worth it.)

Wow, that is a tall tree. I have had cats up in a tree for 2 days. When he gets hungry, he will come down. Try not to stress over it.

Put some of his favorite food at the base of the tree. He will come down for it.
