First of all I dont think any of them are legal for hunting, big game atleast, but I own a XD 45 it is a great weapon, light, comfortable to hold and pretty accurate and best of all it will holds 14 rounds 13 in the mag and one in the chamber

I do not know for hunting but I own a 5" Tactical .45ACP that is great and a 4" 9mm V-10 (Ported) Service model that is very light in recoil. Both are accurate and light weight. A little heavier than Glocks in like category. I do not like any .40caliber handguns. I do not like the snap recoil of the .40. The .45 and 9mm are much more smooth.

My tests indicated that the 4" & 5" tied in accuracy at 25 yards.
