happend to interview at this credit card company last thursday. the company said they would contact me sometimes next week.I am anxious about the result. If I think that company is taking a while, should I reach them immediatlely for follow up or should wait for few more days? what is the best thing?

Call them, show interest and enthusiasm and basically tell them you really want this job are excited about it and is there anything else they need. Basically you are selling yourself in any interview so follow up and 'gentle' pushing is okay. Good luck.

It's a great standout move to follow up immediately after an interview with a letter (or email) thanking them for the interview, re-stating your qualifications, and letting them know why you're a great match for the position. It's also a good idea to give your contact information again so they won't have to search through the applications for your phone number. I usually write the letter the same day I interview and nine times out of ten, I've been offered the position!

if they say they will call in a week, it is appropriate to call no the eighth day and after that if you havent heard from them. but a thank you note within 3 days is appropriate. it is important to be aggressive. sometimes, employers will tell you they will call in a week, and not call just to see if you want it bad enough to contact them. but dont be overly pushy, its a business turn-off.

good luck
