i just recently i noticed that occasionally when i speak i'll stutter on a word or two--not all the time or most of the time just randomly
is there any cause?
i don't know if other people notice it but i do and it makes me self-conscious even though its not ALOT

Try getting more rest, relaxing, and being in less of a hurry.

Since they have been able to scan brains, there is now clear evidence of structural and functional differences in the brains of people who stutter. It's as if the wiring is faulty or some part is not working properly so, although you know exactly what you want to say, your brain doesn't seem to be able to set up an automatic speaking rhythm, so your speech keeps breaking down. Check it out by seeing a speech pathologist.

Do you stutter with the same word or words every time? It could be a variety of thing. It could be that you are emotional about what you are saying. You may have problems pronouncing the word. Or if your parents do the same thing- you may have leaqrned if rom them.

Sometimes it's just nervousness.
