Do you think that the CIA is targeting Congress in a secret operation given all the troubles the two have had between each other. In other words the tapes issue is more or less a ploy involving a larger action to defame and discredit elected members of Congress. The whole issue sounds benign but remember this is the CIA and they are trained to do things like that to other countries. What seems benign may go deeper than is appears at the surface. They are after all a very secretive and powerful branch of presidential umbrella.

I personally feel that those tapes were destroyed to keep the Democrats from 'leaking' them. The odds are 100% that if the Democrats got a hold of them you would see them on You Tube the next day - despite being classified. And even worse the tapes are clear enough that the identities of our military interrigators would be revealed - not only rendering them and thier families subjecti to being targetted by terrorists - but targetted for harrassment from the liberals as well.
When are the liberals going to realize that the people who wear the uniform feel that it would be foolish to trust them?

I think you have it a bit backwards, the tapes were made and destroyed for the reasons the CIA said. The congress wants to tie it to the White House because they want as many scandals as possible so they can get a Democrat into the White House.
