"Once again providing another fact that god exists and religion is not man made
(Quran 57:25)"And We sent down iron in which there lies great force and which has many uses for mankind"
Modern astronomical findings have disclosed that the metal of iron found in our world has come down from the giant stars in outer space.
Professor Armstrong works at NASA, where he is a well-known scientist here. .He stated that the scientists have come only recently to discover the relevant facts about that formation process. He said that the energy of the early solar system was not sufficient to produce elemental Iron. In calculating the energy required to form one atom of iron, even the energy of the entire solar system is not sufficient for that. That is why Professor Armstrong said that the scientists believe that iron is an extraterrestrial that was sent to earth and not formed therein.
So, could muhammad have known this 1400 years ago?
Even i didnt know that until recently...."

The professor is riht that our Sun has not the energy to produce iron. This is misleading because it doesn't matter that our Sun can not create iron. Even if it could it would not be distributed to the planets.
Iron is produced in very massive star and distributed when the star super novas. This is where our iron came from and it did not come after our Earth was farmed but was here already and it is part of what our planet was formed of.
It was not sent later by God.

Mohammid obviously didn't know because iron was seen to be in metiorites. The iron of our Earth was already here in abundance.

Mohammad obviously didn't know because iron was seen to be in metiorites. The iron of our Earth was already here in abundance. He did not have a clue that iron was created in massive stars. All he knew was that iron fell from the sky at times. You are confused.

nasha - no email!
I didn't suggest that people didn't know of iron in meteorites.
The fact of the matter is that thinking iron was thrown down to us by God from the stars is incorrect. This in no way indicates any knowledge of iron having been prodiced in super massive star. Perhaps you should read again what I have said.

The earth's inner core is said to be an 800 mile diameter ball of iron, so just how did that get there?
And who told you that the solar system had to make the Iron that formed the earth!
The universe is a lot older than our solar system and If you think that some how prove your point then I say ok point to you.
But if that is your point then something does not add up, as in who created the universe.
Ok, I no dates mean nothing because it's all written in a book that was only written 2000 years ago at least that's all we've got.
Yes I know someone got it under the bed somewhere just for save keeping.
And I'm an idiot who knows nothing, because I don't believe a load of old notes tied together, which is so confusing that most religions don't even believe each other.
So I'll tell you what, I promises to believe if
1. all you religious types off to some isolated place and only come back when you have settle your difference and form a story you can all agree on.
2. You tell me who created the creator.
A friend of mine was KILLED by so called religious Christen folk, and do you know the funny thing about it?
Even he was a Christian, so please don't insult my mind any further by telling me what I should believe!
Sorry I almost lost my faith, and started ranting on.

I am open to serious Theological debate, but it seems to me that the lunaics are running the asylum!

ALL of the elements on Earth beyond hydrogen come from other stars. So even if you could read this verse as meaning down from the stars (the stars are not up in any real sense - they exist on the other side of the Earth too so they are also down) then it would be a marvellous own goal of scientific ignorance.
All it proves is that the prophet was an uninformed idiot.

Iron was commonly used at that point in history. That verse does not even remotely make any kind of connotation that iron or any other element originates from stars.
No reputable scientist would claim that iron, or anything else, was "sent" to Earth. Earth FORMED with most of the elements it has; the rest came through interstellar collisions with other solid objects, or were formed chemically after the formation of the planet.
Any reputable geologist or cosmologist WOULD tell you that.

If you want to be impressed by real facts that Nasa backs up, try reading about the ancient Sumerians and what their tablets say.
Which by the way predates the Old Testament.
According to Mohammad, if you pray looking up your eyes will pop out and if you don`t wake up and hear the call to prayer in the morning , it`s because Satan pee`d in your ears. One last good one, Mohammad split the moon.

Iron came about from our solar system being second generation. That means, our sun came from the death of another, much larger star.
And seriously, iron was the best Muhammad could come up with? What about uranium? That stuff is much heavier.
[edit] I wrote this without seeing your additional details.

BISMILLAH HIRRAHMAN NIRRAHEEM,
Allah says in Qur'an that when Shayateen can try to listen Allah's orders then Allah have given the order to Angels for through meteors on Shaitan and after recieving these meteors they turned back to the earth, So how can you say that Mohammed don't know about meteors?, Allah also tells in Qur'an that " I had given the power of mold Iron to the Qoumey Daud [nation of Daud] and all knowledge of Iron and related its field to Daud., and had given a large land to Yuosof for rule, and knowledge of dream to Yousof, and knowledge of astronomy to Ibraheem.
You have got knowlege about Iron in this era but Mohammed had known it in 1400 years ago by Qur'an, and many much more thing he known but you dont know in this modern era.

it's not even accurate enough to be wrong
most of Earth's iron was already there when the Earth formed. it's got this huge iron core, see, far too much to have come from meteors
