Hi, Batgirl! =0) I already have a few, getting more, and not worried about how they'll look when I'm 80...it's about the journey...

I don't think God really cares about tattoos. He's got enough to worry about. And who cares how they look at 80. The hardest part of having sex after fifty is seeing each other naked. I have enough problems with physical features at 54. I had a girl friend once who had little bouquets tattooed on her boobs. Now they look like hanging baskets. So plan ahead.

While I'm not a fan of walking into a shop and picking something off of a wall, I don't think that we should take that right away from anyone. I know lots of people who have flash tattoos that turned out nice and that they love, and I also know people who have used flash as a jumping off point for a custom piece. Great artists make flash sets, too, and I think vintage flash has a value all its own. Who are you to say who deserves to mark their own bodies or not? No one likes an elitist, so try to be more open-minded.

I guess so. Supposedly we're going to be restored to our physical best at the resurrection. Does that mean we'll get to keep our ink, or will it go away? What if I like my tattoos? Can I elect to keep them when the great trumpet sounds?

I believe God could, but to my knowledge God doesn't do things for us that we can take care of ourselves.
But if you like your tattoos, enjoy them.

He might lead you to someone who could take the ink away, but from my understanding, it costs a lot and hurts even more than the original tattoo did.

Before you get a tattoo, think about how it will look when you're 80.

If god takes away my tattoos, he's in BIG trouble.

well, if you had a tattoo on your cheek, and you prayed really hard ... god might arrange for you to fall down a fire-escape and get your head cut off.

I witnessed my ex going in to get a tattoo removal....that was scary to say the least. If you knew what it entailed...I don't think you'd pray for it.
