It must be pointed out that only the "vision" portion of the third part of the secret of Fatima has been revealed.
Our Blessed Mother's interpretation of this vision given to Sister Lucia and written down on a single sheet of paper has been withheld, but it begins with the words: In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved ......

Sister Lucia informed us that the secret is in the Apocalypse, between chapters 8 through 13.

These chapters foretell a Great Apostasy in the True Church of Christ, the loss of the True Sacrifice of the Cross (the formula for redemption), and an approaching General Judgment on the Church and the world.

We are now living through this secret and are nearing its climactic events.

Our Blessed Mother is destined to save mankind from unspeakable horrors, but we must do our part and follow her requests as she leads us back to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Those who were fans of the other apparitions of Mary were fans of Fatima. Those who weren't, weren't. Usually the Church takes a hands-off attitude to any claims of apparitions unless they become really, really popular. The story of Fatima spread far and wide and the "secret" business forced Rome to get involved. The primary result was an increased promotion of praying the Rosary, purportedly for the conversion of communist Russia, according to the second "secret".

The "secrets" were pretty well distributed, except for the third one, which implied personal harm to the pope or someone like him. It has since been published. See links below.

Our Lady of Fatima proved that she was appearing to the children by the miracle of the sun. On Oct. 13 people saw the miracle of the sun so they believed it was really Mary appearing to the children. A basilica was built in Fatima. Cures have occured there through the intercession of Mary. Thousands visit Fatima every day of the year. The Church and the Popes approved the apparitions as authentic miracles from heaven. The secrets have been revealed. One secret was about hell. Mary showed the children that hell exists. She asks us to pray for souls so that they won't go to hell. She asks for the five first satrudays of reparation to bring about world peace. We have to go to communion, confession and keep her company for 15 minutes meditating on the mysteries of the rosary. This is to make reparation for the offenses against the immaculate heart of Mary. She says people have to stop sinning because God is already offended too much. She predicted the coming of the First or Second World War. She also asked for the consecration of Russia to her immaculate heart. The Pope and the bishops have to consecrate Russia to her heart and then Russia will be converted and a period of peace will be granted to the world. The third secret was recently revealed. It was about the things the Pope had to suffer. I think some websites on Fatima have published the entire third secret of Fatima. She also said that certain fashions are offending God. God doesn't like the way people dress nowadays. They should be more modest and dress up as temples of the Holy Spirit. So fashions should change so as to be more pleasing to God. I think another apparition at Tuy occured to Sr. Lucia similar to the avatar on hope's avatar. Sr. Lucia saw God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit on top of the altar one day while she was doing a holy hour at night. This happened on July 13, 1929 at Tuy. You can read up on this on the internet. This was the sign God gave to tell Lucia that God wanted to ask for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate heart. The consecration was already accomplished in 1987and even renewed in 2000. Some are still asking for it to be done but I think it has been accomplished according to Fr. Robert Fox. In Fatima, our Lady asked the children and all catholics to say the rosary everyday. Some people who say the rosary everyday are protected from the attacks of satan. they are also protected from many calamities and disasters like nuclear explosions, etc.
