well I'm 15, 5' 7" and I only weigh 115. Also, I'm not like super rib-cage showing skinny, I'm normal so yeah I'd say your daughter is a bit overweight. No worries though, just make sure she eats a salad (no dressing with the exception of olive oil) everyday and that should get her weight down. Also, the obvious exercise helps a lot.

I do not think she is over weight. I went on a number of websites and looked and it all said she was at a normal level. Not to mention my sister (she is also 11, turning 12 in May) is 4' 11" and she is 111, and her doctor said she is perfectly normal. Just make sure she eats healthy and excersises normally, but don't go all "hollywood mom" on her and don't listen to people who tell you she's overweight because she's not a stick. Not to mention some people you may think are overweight, but once they hit their growth spurt, you'll notice their body will even out, and they'll look thinner.

It depends on many things, there is not a set weight some people can weigh more because of muscle also if you are taller you will usually weigh more than someone who is smaller then you BMI is not an accurate representation, if you are worried about weight, your GP is the best person to ask

When I was 11 I was about 5'3" and weighed around 75-80 lbs.
But,I have always had a very fit body.
[Gymnastics]
She may just be growing fast.
I wouldn't say that 106 for that age is overweight.
Just make sure she stays active to help prevent future obesity.

She has a BMI of 22.9, which is at the high end of the normal range for girls. (She would be completely normal as an adult). Help her be a little more active if you're worried she's putting on weight more than she has been growing. However, it's not so high that I'd be worried. Give her lots of compliments on things she does :)
She is 93rd percentile, which means that 93% of girls her age have a lower BMI.

I was some where around 85-90lbs when I was 11, but I was only probably about 5'3". I would not say she is overweight.

Depends on how she carries her weight and if she's big boned. It doesn't sound overweight. Let her get in some after-school activity where she's exercising but . I was about 4'10" and 90 pounds at that age. I'm overweight now unfortunately though.

I would say she is. I don't even weigh that much and I'm a 25yr old woman. (Yes, I'm under-weight BUT you cannot count my ribs and I'm very healthy never get sick.) (My category should only weigh 115-120) Keep in mind people are more over-weight now so they've probably changed those BMI categories. they are probably based on "Average" And since people are fatter the average would be higher.

She's well within normal with a BMI of 22.9.
