I have been a sexual provider for a little while now in Northeaset USA. It is dangerous and there are so many scams, that it is hard to get new clients because people are afraid of getting jacked. This is not my only profession. I have a normal 9 to 5, but it does not pay the bills. Anyhow, I heard that my second line of work is legal in Canada. Are there brothels that I can live in up there? How do girls advertise themselves up there? If I save just a little more, I can retire from both jobs in a year.

Please only serious answers. I'm not really interested in judgemental people. I do what I do to pay the bills. Unless you would like to pay them for me, I do not want your negative opinion.

In Canada, it is not technically illegal to be a prostitute, but it is illegal to practice the profession, and there are several laws meant to discourage it. For example:

- You cannot solicit sex in public.
- You cannot operate a brothel or bawdy house.
- You cannot have a third party living off the income of prostitution (pimping).
- No one can legally have sex for money with anyone under the age of 18.

Women are allowed to advertise in newspapers and on the internet. In Montreal, there are red light districts where women do wait on street corners, but these are not exactly the wisest and safest choices, and I suspect most of those hookers are high on something or undercover cops.

Still, Canada does have a more tolerant approach to prostitution. I think in Alberta, the government actually provides permits and requires regular health checks for its prostitutes.

I've included a few links, including the RCMP's official website so you know their stance on the subject. (They are like the FBI up here in Canada)

Well your information is a bit off, there is a fine line of what is legal and illegal. Brothels and pimping are illegal. Soliciting in Public is illegal, with no laws against the actual deed. However, my impression is that if Canada Customs thinks you are coming into Canada to do this you will be turned back at the border.

Things like how the police deal with it, advertising, and trade customs vary from province to province and city to city. In my area there is a lot of Escort Services, then a lot of independents. Escort Services seems to avoid the pimping/brothel thing saying they connect a date and a customer together for a fee, and turn a blind eye to what happens after that, which has something to do with tipping that date. They advertise in the newspaper - it is usually a specific paper that has/allows them. Phone books also may have listings.

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now. Sex drive can definitely decrease during times of upheaval and stress. It happens. Sometimes couple go through a "dry spell". It's part of a normal relationship, however it can effect the relationship negatively. Your man needs to be a little more understanding about it. Have you been honest with him and told him what is really going on? He should be able to trust you if your relationship is strong. The fact that he is suspicious of you is probably stressing you out even more, making sex even less desirable for you. I would take a step back and evaluate your relationship, perhaps go to a therapist for some solid guidance and answers.

who would want to get sex provided by someone old enough to retire?
and if you are 30 and thinking of retiring then why don't you find yourself a good job?
