...you go to Hell? Automatically? That seems rather harsh and judgmental. What do you have to say?

Yeah, basically. It's pretty dumb.

It's not a belief in God (even Satan believes in God). It's in believing and accepting in Jesus as our Savior. Jesus is the key, and I've read enough on R&S to know that a whole ton of people will violently disagree with this statement, along with their disagreement on God and Jesus. It still doesn't change this fact. I realize that this would seem harsh and judgmental to people who don't hold this same belief, but then again, none of us are God. He, being God, can and has created the rules, just as He has created everything else, including us. It's just our different belief systems (if we have any) that interpret those rules in differing ways. You are either saved or you're not, and Jesus is the key.

Hmm....that seems like it's using human logic. But then, is it just because something seems to you that it is harsh and judgmental that it is?

Let's say that a foreigner stole some candy from a store. Now according to his country's laws, this is ok. But what about the country he is in? Would he argument of punishment for stealing be "harsh and judgmental"? Of course not. One must follow the rules of he who is in charge over them; even if one refuses to admit to breaking the law, for the government to be just, it must punish the lawbreaker.

And it's not "believe in God", it's more than that. Christianity is more than believing in God.

I am a Christian.
It's not just if you don't believe in God.
you have to believe in more than just God.
You have to believe that Jesus Christ was and is God's son sent from heaven, fully human and fully God. That he was sent by God to die on the cross a sinners death to take the penalty for your sins. We must beleive, and confess our sins, the price was payed by Christ.
yes, i do believe that those who do not believe this will go to hell. I am not judging. God is the judge over all things. He made you. That gives him every right to decide what happens to you. That's just the way it is. We either beleive it, or we don't. But the consequence is still there no matter if you don't believe.

Isn't this answered on here 900 times a day!

Very few Christians actually believe that and only the new Evangelical Fundamentalist preach that. ON top of that if you don't believe in God then why worry about Hell.

Geesh people, stop with the repetition and self contradiction already!

Put simply yes. Its heart wrenching but if you do not except Jesus as your savior and put you trust in God you will meet eternal death. I don't understand why someone would not accept God and have the peace of knowing that becasue of his son, all of our sins are forgiven and you will experience the untold pleasures of Heaven. Tell me how thats harsh and judgmental?

Heaven = eternity with God.

If you don't believe in God, why would you wish to spend eternity with Him?

It's no more "harsh and judgmental" than telling you that you can't spend the rest of your life with last person you broke up with.

As a Christian, I believe it is your choice. I also believe, even if you don't believe in God,but live you life as a good person,God will understand you and your inner self and your inner values and morals. If you treat people as dirt. what comes around goes around. If you treat people with dignity and respect, what comes around goes around. What that means is if you help a person in need, then if/when you are in need, there is a chance someone will help you.If you ignore person in need, good chance that someone will ignore you in your time of need. Believing in God is sometimes hard for people to express and may not seem "cool", so some people just ignore it,but inside, maybe deep inside they have a conscience and will do a good deed which may be God's way of helpng them and others in need.

When Jesus died on the cross, he provided a way for us to go to Heaven. The way was, to confess with our mouth he's our Lord, and Believe in his death and ressurection. Straight from the Bible.
The Bible says he will judge us from the motives of our heart. Read the bible, to find out more.

Jesus is one part of the triune God, which includes God the Father, Jesus the son of God and the Holy Spirit.

If you practice what Jesus taught, and as Jesus said.....no one comes to the father but through me...., then you are believing in God.

If you don't believe in God, then you do not believe in Jesus.

Well, not to be the bringer of bad news, but the only way to get to God is through Jesus Christ and Jesus stated that himself. If you do not believe that then guess what, I guess you have to suffer the consequences. I am just letting you know and I AM NOT CONDEMNING you.
