I would say smoking because, well, when you're over weight you can go on a diet and lose weight. When you smoke the effects last a life time. I should know. I have two relatives who are dying of lung cancer because they were smoking, even if they did quit years ago.

Smoking. Being (slightly) overweight isn't actually a major health risk. Being obese on the other hand is a major health risk and then I'd say the risks are pretty equal.
