Masturbation is a sin, but dreams are not (it is an involuntary emission).

To commit a sin requires the consent of a person's will. When you are sound asleep, you cannot give full consent to what your body is doing.

Praise be to Allaah.

No person will be punished for the sins of another. Each person will be brought to account for his own sins. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And no bearer of burdens shall bear another’s burden”[Faatir 35:18]

But if the father or mother commits a sin, this may be a cause of making the family members follow their example.

Majmoo’ Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz, 2/610

But the consequences of the sins committed by the sinner may go beyond him to affect his family, as a punishment for him and a test for his family. Allaah tests man with disasters in order to expiate for his sins, and Allaah may test people with blessings. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good” [al-Anbiya’ 21:35]

Whatever the case, the Muslim must avoid sin so that he will not be subject to the wrath and anger of Allaah. And Allaah knows best.

One has to remember that calling masturbation "The Sin of Onan" is a misnomer. Onan wasn't guilty of masturbation, he was guilty of "early withdrawal." Onan's older brother had died, and according to Jewish Law, he was supposed to impregnate his brother's widow in order that his dead brother might have heirs. The children of the wife would be considered the husband's children.

As I understand it, if there were no heirs, Onan would inherit. In order to see to it that HE inherited, he pulled out in order to deny his dead brother any heirs. Onan's sin was refusing to honor obligation to his borther by the Law.

(pain 2 the scrotum) 3 - can cause major migraines or headaches if done 2 much. 4 - can end up with a curved penis. (this is cause by the grip 1 uses while masturbating. It breaks some of the small blood vessels in the shaft causing it 2 eventually bend. If u r a right handed person it will tend 2 bend 2 the left. If u r a left handed person it will tend 2 bend 2 the right, or in some cases up or down. 5 - it can also become an obsession. 6 - can cause irritation 2 the foreskin. (if u have 1) 7 - can cause some discomfort/mild pain in the gut area. “Now in case a man has an emission of semen go out from him, he must then bathe all his flesh in water and be unclean until the evening. And any garment and any skin upon which the emission of semen gets to be must be washed with water and be unclean until the evening.” Apparently this passage is not referring to masturbation. Evidently it is referring to the aforementioned “wet dream.” Although the Bible mentions an ‘uncleanness’ in association with the emission of semen, this is a ceremonial not a moral uncleanness. This is obvious when we note in the next verse that an Israelite man and wife incurred the same uncleanness when engaging in their God-approved marital relations.

So therefore, no sin.

No. Wet dreams are purely based on physical hormonal changes. Women have similar dreams when they are pregnant. Well, not all women, but most do.

it is only a sin if you use butter, cold-cuts and a sock.

Well, I say sin, what I mean is that it feels wicked.
