They are not saved, the only ones that will be saved are GODs elect. And most of them do not know who they are. Read John 3 16 that the christians use all the time to do what they do and look at what John 3 17 says. They are in more trouble than they think.

I think you are applying these Bible verses to the wrong "they". Many people profess to be Christians, and I think that is what many of your verses are referring too. These people might/will say that they are believers and are saved, but are not saved in their hearts. A true Christian is someone who has acknowledged, in their heart and outloud, that Jesus died to save them. Many "Christians" have not done so. So when you ask this question, you should remember that becoming a true believer is a personal decision between you and God, and God knows if you mean your repentance and are truly a believer.

Most of the passages you have cited are referring to the Scribes and Pharisees, the religious leaders of Jesus day. They weren't worshipping Jesus at all, and they weren't worshipping God in the way they were required to. They had added traditions to the Law, which Jesus pointed out to them.

They were self-righteous rather than righteous, and were thus not in God's favour, as any professing Christian who developed the same attitude today would also not be in God's favour.

the references in matthew mark luke and John are Jesus referring to the pharisees.

The passage in Romans 10 refers to the Jews.

But yes, Jesus did refer to many who would come saying 'Lord Lord!' and he will say to them 'away from me you evildoers' many who call themselves 'christians'and have 'given their lives' but who's hearts God has seen and weighed. Who He alone knows have only loved themselves. Who have not realised their state of wickedness and cried out to God for forgiveness.

There are many different interpretations of the word 'Christian'. In the muslim world, a chrsitian is someone who comes from 'the West'. To some a christian is someone who goes to church. To others it is someone who has been christened. My personal view is that a christian is someone who is saved. So depending on what you consider the word 'christian' to mean, either all christians, or very few chrsitains are actually saved. Hope that makes sense.

Even those who belive on my name shall be saved , Acts 16:31 belive in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved . It is the faith and belief of the person .that counts but it must be in there hearts not there brains only. Even Satan knows Christ and God but it gets him nothing , Also many shall come in his name and say Lord lord havent I done this that and everything else and He says depart from me .(paraphrase) Because they did whatever to look good and didnt realy know Him in thier hearts. So the ans is only known by Christ , many call themselves Christians

Nice point.
I do believe that many walk around even now, thinking they are simply because they went through what has been called "The Sinner's Prayer."
The Bible also tells us to make sure of our salvation.
Many ministers simply tell us not to doubt our salvation.
Self examination to be sure we are in Christ is ALWAYS a good thing. It is necessary.

I have no clue. It is a question that will be answered by God and that individual. I have no place to question someones slavation, but I do have the authority to assist others in getting to know God - If I do not bring others to that understanding then it is essentially my fault for not doing what God asked us to do on a daily basis.

Boy, you sure are a worrier. I have been reading your previous questions and you are obsessed with "sin." Don't worry, everyone makes mistakes. Don't be afraid of God. God is Good, not evil as you seem to think. You won't go to hell if you are a good person.
You need to relax and get a hobby. Go ride a bike or join a club. But please, NOT a bible club. You need to think of something else besides worrying about your eternal soul.
You will be fine.

Everyone that says that they are Christians don't really know what it means. I believe a lot of Christians don't have a personal relationship with God.
