Okay, maybe this is a dumb question but im just curious...
Say you have have kids but one day you decide that raising kids is too much for and you cant handle it anymore... Is your only option abandonment? FOR THE RECORD, I do not have kids and do not plan on doing anything like this EVER. I am just curious what an unfit mother's options are rather than beating them and having CPS come take the kids away.
Any answers are appreciated.

that is the problem mothers like this should never have kids yes kids take alot but they are mericles and should never be abandoned. if you know some one like this have them get help right away or give them up and dont ask for a second chance.

It is not always the unfit mother it is any kind of mother ,Millions of people cant have kids put them up for adoption would be my first choice or maybe ask family members to help out.But abandonment is most likely what a mother would do if under stress

Oh no abandonment is NOT the ONLY option of unfit parents. Some of those dirt bags pimps their kids out, trade them for drugs, some of them leave them in a hot car to roast to death in the middle of a heatwave while they party, some of them shoot stab and drown their children, then holler"bad childhood, low self esteem" then the "doctors" the "experts" who have way too much influence over our legal system gets them a slap on the wrist and has the parole boards to turn them loose on society again after a few yrs.

No, abadonment is not your only option. Adoption, expecially within the family, is available. So is putting them in foster care, but that is the practical equivalent of abandonment, because they would be wards of the state. I am glad your question is theoretical, but in many cases, of course, it's not, and as a result, there are many many children living very sad lives in abusive homes.

Duh adoption. You can also turn over rights to another party such as a grandparent.
If the child is young enough you can toss it in a river and tell yourself it never happened.
Next time just get the goddamn abortion.
