Where can i get my 19yr old boyfriend a CHEAP PS3 game?

I have already bought him a few things so i dont want to spend a lot more but he really wants a PS3 game...... I only want to spend about $20.00-$30.00 on it (is that price range even possible?) he really likes sports game like baseball or football too.

1. Ebay or Craigslist as others have mentioned. This is the way to get the cheapest PS3 games.

2. Gamestop or a better yet, a used Record/Movie/Game shop - something that is a "mom and pop". This is a good alternative if you don't want to buy online for some reason.

3. PSN Games - The playstation network offers games that range in cost $1 - $40. These are downloadable games that are stored on the hard drive. To buy them you need to have the PS3 connected to the internet (easy to do) and use a credit card to make a purhcase. There are some very good games that are inexpensive, such as "High Velocity Bowling" which I think costs $9.99. You might even enjoy playing that with him. Since you want this to be a Christmas present you would have to be pretty sneaky about it. Not sure how savvy you are with the PS3, but you should be able to purchase it and not initiate the download until later. Also, if you know anyone with a PSN account that already has games, you can download their purchased games for free if you have their account info and they are willing to share.

Just make sure you don't buy the cheapest game simply so he has a game in hand. Try to google a review before the purchase. And of course, make sure you know what games he already has before you buy one. Last thought, Motorstorm is one of the cheapest games on eBay because it is a "pack-in" title with some models of the PS3 so you should be able to find that cheap if he doesn't already have it. I hear it is one of the best PS3 games.

Sadly, not really possible. Few games are out for the PS3, comparatively speaking, and haven't been released long enough to be discounted at retail.

In the $30 range, you may occasionally be able to find a used game on EBay or craigslist.com., but the popular games (like recent sports games) will rarely sell for less than about 75% of retail price.

Alternately, you could buy him a good PS2 game; they are compatible with his system, and there are many games not much more than a year old which you could buy new in your price range.

Good luck spending that much on PS3 games when they're $59.99 for majority of the games. You could try places like EB Games/Gamestop, even then, used games are like in the high $40s. You could also try Ebay.

I buy a lot of my games used from ebay. The hard coating on the Blu-ray discs ensure that even used games will play like new. I've purchased several games, and movies too from ebay.

Look for copies of "Tony Hawk's Project 8." It's a really great game, but since they just released the new Tony Hawk (Proving Ground), this older version will be abundant and cheap!
