It's referred to as abominable to God in the Bible. So God has a strong opinion and it's not my place to judge. I simply love the sinner which means all of us.

I don't see how it can be. When I look at the types of people Jesus hung out with in the Bible - the people looked down on by society - I think his definition of and his attitude toward sin, was very different from ours. If it were sinful, then the repentent Christian would be compelled away from those tendencies by the Holy Spirit. It is the Church however, which compels the change. Being gay goes against most churches, but it is open to interpretation in the scriptures, and certainly not evidenced by the enlightenment of the spirit.

It's the result of sin.
Sin is: Living life MY way by what I think is best. It's deciding what is good or what is evil regardless of what God says or thinks.
So yes, being gay is a sinful choice, just as being a critical, unloving religious person is a sinful choice.
"Sin in essence is man being God's substitute, while salvation is God being man's substitute." - John Mott

Homosexuality is disordered. Being a celibate homosexual is not a sin. Having sex with the same sex is a sin.
This is not "judging" as many here claim. It is only stating what God has already stated. We have no ability to pass judgment, only God can do that. We can however state what is already known.
God calls the homosexual act an abomination. It is one of the four sins that "cries to heaven for vengeance." Christians are not making this stuff up to make life hard for homosexuals. We are not gay haters, nor do we think we are better or more holy. We all sin and fall short of God's glory. This is the nature of sin. This is the struggle we all face day in and day out.
Trying to justify what we know to be a sin is wrong. No matter how you twist it, it remains a sin. We all would like to take the easy road, and make salvation easy. But again, this is not what Christ told us. He told us to take up "our" cross and follow him. Taking up the cross is sacrifice, it means as we seek him and move towards him, our lives here will not be easy. But obedience is the key to the fulfillment in Christ. God will shower his grace on you as you choose his will over yours.
Our society today tells us that acceptance is love, that God wants us all to be happy. That happiness in this life is the goal. But again, that is not what the Bible says. Those who seek him find Christ's statement true..."you are in the world but not of it." This is the way it must be for those who seek the kingdom of heaven. That goes for all of us sinners.

Gay is not an orientation, it is a behavior.
Behaviors are first thought about.
Behaviors are therefore chosen from the mind.
It is a work of the flesh, and if we sow to the flesh, we do reap corruption.
It is sin, just as stealing, fornication, lieing, etc.
Jesus Christ died to save us from our sins.
How can we, after being saved, continue in sin?
We cannot. We fight against it every day, whatever our sinful human nature hits us with.
I am not troubled by this sin, but do have trouble with materialism.
Sin is sin, and only Christ can free us.

Joshua 1:8
This Book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt Meditate THERIN, day & Night..............for then, thou shalt make thy ways prosperous, then thou shalt have good success
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, & HIM ONLY shalt thou serve!
It all boils down to signs of the latter days...as in the days of Lot, so shall it be when the Son of Man cometh
Also we are informed during this stage in PROPHETIC times, that MEN SHALL BE LOVERS OF PLEASURE, rather than lovers of God !
2 Timothy ch. 3 verses 1 through 7 says.....
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come, For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, UNHOLY. WITHOUT NATURAL AFFECTION, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, DESPISERS OF THOSE THAT ARE GOOD, traitors,
heady, highminded, lovers of PLEASURE more than lovers of God!!! Having a FORM of Godliness, but denying the power thereof:--FROM SUCH, TURN AWAY!-(a warning)
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, & lead captive silly women laden with sins, lead away with divers LUSTS. Ever learning, but NEVER able to come to the Knowledge of the TRUTH!!
Jesus says ...."I am the way, THE TRUTH & the Life, NO ONE comes to GOD but through HIM
Ever notice how most people who are "HAPPY BEING GAY" hate the VERY thought & the mention of Jesus Christ??
we are living in those days & Jesus WILL return EXTREMLY soon
ARE YOU READY ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Yes it is. All sexual immorality is sin.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
Leviticus 20:13-If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Romans 1:18-28 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the trth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and God head , so that they are without excuse, 21 because although they knew God , they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Professing to be wise, they became fools,23 and changeed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man - and birds - and four footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature,rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
1 Timothy 1:9-10- Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

It's no sin to feel attracted to the same sex . It's a sin to have sex outside marriage (between a man and a woman).
