Dress code for a Wedding?

I'm invited to a wedding and what is appropriate for me to wear? Should i rent a tux or would a semi-formal suit be just fine.

suit and tie- looks better to me anyhow. Most people don't expect you to go and rent a tux. BUT, it's less expensive to do that if you don't have a nice suit.

Depends on the people, but in general don't wear a tux! A suit is fine unless you're in the wedding. Just a suit and tie, no tux!

It actually depends on the event. If it's an evening event, and the invitation says something about "black tie", then a tux would be the appropriate outfit.

Otherwise, a suit should be fine.

You choose the dress for your wedding. Its your wedding no one elses. Traditional is a tux and a dress. But you have it in what you want it to. Also traditional is white dress but there are people now who wear black dresses. There is no limit to what you wear or do for your wedding. Possibilities are endless.

You can never go wrong with a classic black suit and tie.

I would suggest buying one, rather then renting. A suit is a good thing to have in your closet. You can wear it to a wedding, to a funeral (god forbid), a job interview, a dinner party, etc.

As a guest, just wear a business suit, dress shirt and tie, dress shoes.
