before I went to college I could do a 5-7-max (up to 15) set of bench with 205lbs. I went to college and got a little out of shape but I've been back at it for ah... lets say 3mo. now and I can barely do this set with 185 on the bar, what's going on? why can't I at least get back to where I was, not to mention gain some?

k maybe closer to 6mos than 3 and I stopped lifting for like 3-4mo. before this.

You probably took too much time off and you're body got well adjusted to being lazy and not working as hard. I'm sure you'll get up there soon enough, you just need to gradually increase the weights and get back into shape.

your muscles had 3 months off, now your asking them to (all of a sudden) do some heavy lifting,, it will take some time to get back to where your were,, but muscles has memory and will quickly return to its former glory..
